Hemp Hero - Attorney Bruce Margolin

This is to other hemp activists who believe in the work of Los Angeles marijuana attorney Bruce Margolin . That a web search on the issue of medical marijuana clubs being shut down in LA had not one media outlet talking to him on the subject I find horrifying. It's called 'seek but do not find.'  If we hempsters unify behind Atty Margolin with his ample legal experience on the matter, we can break through the stupidity called the war on drugs.



The late Sister Somayah Kambui use to call Margolin the best in the businesses. She trusted her life to him many times and he never let her down.



Success is preparation joining with opportunity. We have an opportunity to end hemp prohibition now.  439 clubs in LA have their walking papers. It's time for a class action suit and the clubs have the means and the motivation to do it. "Los Angeles city prosecutors began notifying 439 medical marijuana dispensaries Tuesday that they must shut down by June 7, when the city's ordinance to regulate the stores takes effect. It's the first step in what could be a lengthy and expensive legal battle to regain control over pot sales.

The letters, which were sent to both dispensary operators and property owners, warn that violations of the city's laws are a misdemeanor and could lead to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. Collectives that stay open after the deadline could also face civil penalties of $2,500 a day.

"We're hopeful that the fact that we've given them more than 30 days to comply that a significant number of them will cease operating," said Asha Greenberg, the assistant city attorney who has handled most of the efforts to close dispensaries."   Clubs, plus every other citizen who stands for sanity, should let Bruce make the case. This must be done quickly to at least get a stay because June 7th will be here fast. The Will of the Government is not more important than the Will of the People, as expressed in Prop 215.

I also recommend Richard M. Davis' book HEMP FOR VICTORY: THE WONDER HERB which is a museum tour on the subject as evidence. Many other books, organizations, etc. can be added to the list.  No need wasting too much time on is medical hemp adequately tested and proven useful.



Again, if you think this is a good salvation move, let's encourage the clubs (and others) to hire/support Bruce Margolin, Richard M. Davis and other long standing hemp activists to bring peace where there is chaos.  Hemp For Victory!!!

Los Angeles has lost a living legend with the passing of Sister Somayah Kambui on Thanksgiving Day, 2008. Information on her passing and gathering is posted on the USA Hemp Museum's blog HEMP FOR VICTORY NOW.

An evolutionary's evolutionary, Sister Somayah began her career as a Black Panther then moved into hemp activism where she pioneered research using her life as her test tube in the field of hemp and sickle cell.

She was tormented over the decades by the DEA and LAPD every step of the way, and never gave up. The above webeo is from the last of the 10 Global Million Marijuana Marches in Los Angeles she produced and lead. One year she marched down Crenshaw Blvd with live hemp plants and a police escort.

A fighter to the end, it was reported by her brother Akile, a Kwanzaa pioneer in his own right and hemp activist, that Somayah ended her life pain free and happy.

I'll post more here on this most amazing woman that I've loved for 9 years as my sister. She is the closest person I've met to St. Bernadette, only Sister Somayah did not go with the police quietly.

I hope the DEA and LAPD are ashamed of themselves for the torture that they put that sick woman through whose real crime was helping folks heal. Just 'taint fittin. It just 'taint fittin.
